Sri Syamananda Prabhu – Disappearance Day

Sri Syamananda Prabhu

Tale of Sri Syamananda Prabhu

Internal associates of Sri Gaurasundara included Sri Syamananda Prabhu, Srinivasa Acarya, and Sri Narottama Dasa Thakura. After Sri Gaura-departure Krsna from his world, they incarnated to promote his teachings.

Sri Syanababda appeared in the village of Dharenda Bahadurpur in Utkala. Sri Krishna Mandal came from a family of sad-gopas and had numerous sons and daughters, all of whom died before this son was born.

“By the grace of Lord Jagannatha, he was born on the full moon day of the month of Caitra, at a highly auspicious time. Everyone predicted this youngster would be a pious person with a great soul. It’s as if Lord Jagannatha personally brought him here to spread his teachings and is now looking after him.

Purification ceremonies, his first grain taking, tonsure, and the rites for beginning his schooling were all done one after the other. He finished his grammar, poetry, and rhetoric courses quickly. When the Vaishnavas in his village told him of Sri Gaura’s glories, Nityananda acquired a strong devotion to their lotus feet.

Guru of Krsna Dasa

Sri Karsna Mandal was a very advanced devotee himself. His son asked, “If you give your permission, I shall proceed to Hrdaya Chaitanya to become his disciple, “Sri Krsna said to his father.

He ultimately gave his approval after a long period of deliberation. Dukhiya set off towards Gaudadesa in this manner. He eventually arrived in Navadwipa, then santipur, and Ambika Kalna, where he asked the locals where he could find Gauri Dasa Pandita’s house. He knelt outside Mandira’s gate and gave his dandavats. At the time, Sri Hrdaya Caitanya happened to be walking by. “Who are you? Hrdaya Caitanya Prabhu enquired after a few moments of looking at him.

Dukhiya responded, “I’ve come to take care of your lotus feet. Dharendra Bahadurpur is where I come from. I was born into the sad-gopas caste, Sri Krsna Mandal is my father’s name, and Dukhiya is my name.

This lovely speech impressed Sri Hrdaya Caitanya greatly. He told the youngster, “Krsna das will be your name from now on. I had a feeling someone might show up today since early this morning”.

Sri Karsna Dasa began his service with tremendous devotion, and his teacher inducted him into the divine mantra on an auspicious day. Because Sri Hrdaya Caitanya could see that his new student was both brilliant and committed, he sent him to Vrindavana to study the Vedic literature under the instructions of Srila Jiva Goswami. Sri Karsna Das bowed in agreement and headed towards the holy dhama on an auspicious day. His guru gave him several instructions before he left and sent his obeisances to the lotus feet of the Gosvamis of Vrindavana through his disciple.

Duhkhi Krsna Das was the first to arrive in Navadwioa. He arrived at Sri Jagannatha Misra Bhavan after receiving it.

A Search of Srimati Radharani’s Left Ankle Bracelet

As Karna Das cleaned the Kunja, he discovered a lovely ankle bracelet laying in the dust. He took it in his hands, placed it on his head, and tucked it into a corner of his upper robe. “When they come looking for it,” he reasoned, “I’ll give it to whomever it belongs to.”

The next morning, they were taken aback when they discovered Srimati Radharani’s left ankle band got stolen. Radharani elaborated, “It may have slipped off last night as I danced in the Kunja. Please look for it; whoever finds it shall return it to me.

Visakha Devi spotted Krna Das sweeping the groves when the gopis came to look for the bracelet. “Have you found an ankle bracelet here?” she inquired. Duhkhi Karna Das was taken aback by her charming words and radiant form, which resembled that of a demi-goddess descended from heaven, as he stood there staring at her speechless.

She asked again, to which Karna Das replied, “Yes, I discovered it” Visakha Devi explained to Karna Das that the ankle bracelet belonged to the new bride and he could hand it over so she could get it back to the owner. To which Karsna Das replied that he wanted to hand it over himself.

Visakha Devi reappeared after a few moments, accompanied by Srimati Radha Thakurani. “Bhakta, the person who misplaced her ankle bracelet, has arrived to receive it,” Visakha said to Karsna Das.

Duhkhi Krsna Das entirely forgot about himself while looking, even from afar. He gave Visakha the angle bracelet and sensed something substantial would happen while doing so. His eyes welled up from tears, and he knelt on the ground to pay his respects.

After that, Visakha informed him, “O most devoted of worshippers! To demonstrate her gratitude, Our Sakhi wishes to bestow a blessing on you.”

Before him, Duhkhi Karsna Dasa saw the holy waters of Radha Kunda. He dove into her waters, and as a result, he achieved a transcendentally gorgeous feminine figure. He stood before Visakha Devi after exiting the sacred Kunda and offered prayers.

Srimati Radharani then used the ankle bracelet and the kumkum from her lotus feet to apply tilaka to Karsna Da’s forehead. “This tilak will be on your forehead for the rest of your life.” You will be known as Syamananda from today. You’re free to leave now.

Why did Hrdaya Chaitanya Prabhu Set Out for Vrindavana?

When the Vaishnavas noticed that Dukhi Krsna Dasa’s name and tilaka style had been changed for unknown reasons, they naturally began to examine his peculiar occurrence amongst themselves. Ambika Kalna was the first to hear the news. Hrdaya Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was disturbed and enraged when he learned about his disciple’s ostensibly unlawful actions. He left right away for Vrindavana.

How Was Sri Syamananda Prabhu Asked to Carry on the Preaching of Mahaprabhu’s Mission?

Most of Lord Chaitanya’s adherents in Orissa have died by this time. As a result, Mahaprabhu’s teachings had all but ceased to be preached. Hrydaya Caitanya Prabhu saw this as a major issue and eventually directed Sri Syamananda Prabhu to travel there and continue Mahaprabhu’s mission preaching. With tremendous satisfaction, Syamananda served his guru’s lotus feet, and in this way, he passed his days.

Syamananda was first disappointed that he would have to be separated from his spiritual master again so soon. Still, Sri Hridaya Caitanya Prabhu clarified that he had no choice but to accept this command on his head.
