The spiritual self: Clouds and dust are carried by air, but the less intelligent persons say that the sky is cloudy and the air is dusty. Similarly, they also implant material bodily conceptions on the spirit self. It is confirmed herein that we cannot see the Lord, who is all spirit, with our material eyes and senses. We look outward covering and cannot detect the spiritual spark within the body. Those who want to see the Lord with material senses need to meditate on the Virat roop of Krishna. The bluish tint of the sky and the sky itself are different in that we conceive the color of the sky as blue. We will be discussing the glories of Srimati Jahanava Devi. She is the Acarya of all Acaryas.
The Marriage Proposal:
When Chaitanya Mahaprabhu gave instructions to Nityananda Prabhu on Krishna consciousness that we should always be chanting Hari name whatever state we are in, stay in association of Vaishanavs, and avoid associating with materialistic persons, Mahaprabhu also instructed Nityananda Prabhu that whatever it takes to spread Hari Naam we should do. During that time, Jahanava Devi came into the life of Nityananda Prabhu. Suryadas from Shalligram village was thinking about the marriage of his two beautiful daughters. When Suryadas went to sleep at night, he dreamt that Nityananda Prabhu was sitting with Jahanava Devi on his left side and Vasudha Devi sitting on his right. The whole night he sees the marriage of Nityananda Prabhu with his two daughters. When he wakes up in the morning, he sends the Brahman to Srivasa Thakur’s place, where Nityananda Prabhu was staying. Advaita Acarya, Srivasa Thakur, and everyone else got so happy as this was the most appropriate marriage proposal for Nityananda Prabhu. When Nityananda Prabhu saw the happiness of all the Vaishnavas also accepted the proposal.
The Divine Marriage of Nityananda Prabhu:
Everyone performed sankirtan during the marriage, and there was constant chanting of the holy name during the marriage. After the marriage, Nityananda Prabhu, first of all, went to meet Sachi Mata with Jahanava and Vasudha. Sachi Mata became extremely happy and excited. Then they all went to Shantipur.
After a few months, Vasudha Devi gave birth to Virbhadra (incarnation of Vishnu)and Gangadevi(incarnation of mother Ganga). Vasudha and Jahanava used to fully assist Nityananda Prabhu in all the preaching activities and were constantly encouraging.
Jahanava Devi-The Supreme Shelter:
Later, when Vasudha Devi left, Vribhadra and Gangadevi took shelter from Jahnava Devi. Jahanava Devi also adopted one boy named Ram Chandra and gave Diksha to all the three kids. When the community came to know that these children took shelter of Srimati Jahanava Devi, gradually, all Vaishnavas started taking the shelter of Jahanava Devi. Gradually she had disciples as a brahmachari, householders, and from all different sections.

The Kheturi festival Of Narottama Das Thakur:
In the Kheturi festival of Narotama Das, Srinivas Acarya, Jahanava Devi was invited as Acarya of the festival. She had such an influence that many Vaishnavas from different villages joined her. There were the best Kitchen, housing and all other departments. There, the main delight was the divine presence of Jahnava Devi. Deep respect was given to all Vaishanavs, and sankirtan was going on the whole time. When the festival ended, the devotees could not handle it, and Narotama Dasa asked all of them to chant loudly to Hari Naam Kritan. Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare.
The next day during the Holi festival, Srimati Jahanava Devi personally served and cooked for everyone. After then, she left for Vrindavan, and everyone glorified her on the way.
Chandi worshipers take shelter of Jahanava Devi:
Chandi Devi worshipers got envious of her, and in the night, they prayed to Chandi Devi to kill Jahanava Devi. In their dream appeared, Chandi Devi was saying,” You want to kill the Supreme Goddess whom I worship!”
With a sword in hand, she warned those people and asked them, “Go tomorrow and fall at the feet of Jahnava Devi and beg for forgiveness, then only I will forgive you, or else tomorrow all of you will be killed.”
The next day all the people went and begged for forgiveness.
The Goddess of Supreme Mercy:
After a few days on the riverbank, some robbers wanted to rob all the wealth of Jahanava Devi and her associates. At midnight they could see Jahanava Devi sitting and started running towards her. The whole night they kept on running but could not reach her. In the morning, they realized that this was a Goddess who had arrived here and begged for forgiveness from her.
Jahanava Devi aimed to take all the conditioned souls back to the Godhead. Even though all those robbers became Vaishanav and started preaching, she was the Goddess of Supreme Mercy.
Her travels:
Then she went to meet all the Goswamis. She went to all the forests of Vrindavan where Krishna and Balaram played.
When she went to Ekchakra, she thought that is why she didn’t get the love of her in-laws. She was lamenting so much that her in-laws appeared in front of her along with her beloved Nityananda Prabhu and embraced her. She saw all the childhood places of Nityananda Prabhu and was overjoyed with emotions.
Her disappearance:
Jahanava Devi in the final past time enters into the Diety of Ananga Manjari in Sri Sri Radha Gopinath temple.
