Life of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu

Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu

The great Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s life needs no introduction. Read on to get an insight into Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s life, his mission, & unknown facts about him.

How was the childhood of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu?

The Life of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu has not been easy. The Lord appeared in 1407 in the evening of Farguniprunima in Shakabuda. There was a lunar eclipse that same evening. During the eclipse, Hindus usually bathed in the Ganges and other sacred rivers and chanted Vedic mantras for purification.

When Lord Chaitanya was born during the lunar eclipse, the land was sacred to Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.

The simultaneous appearance of the Lord and the lunar eclipse charted a path for Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s unique mission. In other words, the emergence of the Holy Name coincided with the emergence of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

From time to time, a young girl will make the Lord cry and rejoice in chanting her holy name to stop the Lord. When the Lord was lying on his mother’s lap, the women around him chanted a holy name and stopped crying as soon as she clapped her hand. A neighbor watched this strange incident in awe and awe.

At an early age, Sir Sri Chaitanya was known as Nimai. His beloved mother gave this name because the Lord was born under a Nimba tree in the courtyard of his father’s house. Thus, the Lord began to preach the importance of the Holy Name from an early age.

At the Anna Prashana Ceremony, the Lord foresaw his future activities when solid diet was offered to him for the first time after six months. It was common to provide children with coins and books to indicate their future trends. The coins were mainly offered to Srimad Bhagavatam on one side and the other side. The Lord accepted Bhagavatam instead of coins.

Once stolen by a thief trying to steal a jewel, the Lord went on a pleasure trip to the shoulders of a confused thief looking for a lonely place to rob his baby. One day, when he was a baby crawling in the garden, a snake appeared in front of him, and the Lord began to play with it.

All house members were full of fear and awe, but after a while, the snake disappeared, and the baby was taken away from his mother. Of course, worried parents and relatives were delighted to see the lost child. It happened that a thief wandering around finally arrived just outside Jagannath Mishra’s house and immediately dropped the baby for fear of being caught.

When the Brahmin pilgrims were received at Jagannath Mishra’s house, serving God, the Lord appeared before him and participated in the prepared food. The food had to be rejected because the child touched it, so the Brahmin had to prepare.

The same thing happened next time, and after repeating this three times, the baby finally went to bed. Around noon, when all the house members slept soundly in a closed room, the pilgrim Brahmin offered specially prepared food to God.

Offering. Brahmin was forbidden to reveal the incident, and the baby returned to his mother’s womb. After that, Brahmin began to cry, but no one could hear him because everyone was sleeping soundly. Similarly, the Queen appeared before the pilgrims and spoiled him. At that time, the little Lord appeared before the happy Brahmin, revealing his identity as Krishna himself.

What was the mission of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu?

His biggest mission was to get involved in preaching the importance of chanting the Holy Name of the Lord in this Curly era (controversy). Even the smallest things are being contested in this modern era, so Sastra recommends a common platform for this era, the chanting of the Lord’s Holy Name.

People can hold rallies to praise the Lord in their respective spoken and melodic songs, and if such a performance is done without discomfort, participants will have a stricter way.

At such rallies, scholars and fools, rich and poor, Hindus and Muslims, British and Indians, and Chandara and Brahmin can all hear ethereal sounds, and thus the material community.

To confirm the Lord’s mission, all people worldwide accept the Lord’s Holy Name as a common platform for the universal religion of humanity. It is a mirror of the heart. You will gradually achieve spiritual perfection in no time.

Debate with Kashmiri Pandita

Nabadvipa, where Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Iskcon lived, was considered a center of education and culture. At 16, Slichaitan Yamaha Prab founded his own Chatuspati (a village school run by the Brahmin he learned) in Nabadwip and briefly explained Krishna by reading the grammar.

During this period, a great scholar named Kashmir Kashmir from Kashmir came to Nabadwip to discuss Shastra. Kashmir Pandit is a prominent scholar, and he has traveled to every learning place in India. Eventually, he came to Nabadwip to fight the Pandita he learned there.

Nabadwip’s Pandit matched Nimai Pandit (Sir Chaitanya) with Kashmir Pandit. And if Kashmir Pandita is defeated, they will be even more glorified as people declare that the humble boy of Nabadwip has defeated famous scholars across India.

Nimai happened to meet Pandita Kesava Kasmiri while walking along the banks of the Ganges. The Lord asked him to compose Sanskrit poems in honor of the Ganges, and Pandita recited the poems like a storm, demonstrating the strength of his vast knowledge and a hundred Shlokas in a short time.

Nimai Pandita remembered all the Shlokas right away. He quoted the 64th Shloka and pointed out certain rhetorical and literary irregularities. Bavani means Shiva’s wife, and who else can be her Balta or husband? He also pointed out some other contradictions, and Kashmir Pandit was stunned.

The issue ended before the public meeting, but the news spread like wildfire throughout Nabadwip. The Kashmiri Pandita was surprised to point out the literary mistakes of scholars learned by mere students of grammar. But finally, in a dream, Kashmir Pandita became a believer in the Lord, as Kesava Kasmiri was commanded by the goddess of learning Saraswati to submit to the Lord.

Acceptance of Sannyasa

Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu highly valued Vrajabhumi’s (Vrindavana) virgin love for Krishna and acknowledged her true service to the Lord. Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu once chanted the holy name of gopis (cowman girl) in the rice field in the name of the Lord.

At that time, I was surprised to see some of his disciples come to see him and see the Lord chanting Gopi’s name. Out of total stupidity, they advised him to chant Krishna’s name. The Lord disciplined them and cast them out.

The disciples were about the same age as the Lord, so they mistook the Lord for theirs. They held a rally and decided that if the Lord dared to punish them again in this way, they would attack. This incident caused a malicious story about the Lord from the general public.

When the Lord noticed this, he began to think about different people in society. He said that students, professors, fruitful workers, yogis, infidels, and various types of atheists, in particular, all oppose the devoted service of the Lord.

The case in which the Lord accepted Saniyasa’s orders is explained in detail in Chaitanyabhagavata of Srila Vrndavana Dasa Thakura. Therefore, at the end of his 24th year, the Lord adopted the order of life of Sannyasa in the moon of Marga.

After accepting this order, he did the same preaching job as his head of household. Still, when he encountered some obstacles in his preaching, he even sacrificed the comfort of his family life because of his fallen soul.

His main assistants were Srila Advaita Prabhu and Srila Srivasa Thakura in his family life. Still, after accepting sannyasa’s orders, his main assistants were especially asked to preach in Bengal with Srila Nityananda Prabhu. Goswami (Rupa Gosvami, Sannyasa Goswami, Jivagoswami, Goparabatagoswami, Lagunata Dasagoswami, Lagunatabatagoswami) were asked to go to Vrindavan to excavate the current pilgrimage site. Led by Sanatana.

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s teachings spread throughout the world, telling that only Krishna can bring peace to this world. When people lose themselves in Krishna’s devotion, they prioritize things over materialistic things. Thus, stay happy and chant with us, Hare Krishna
